Blog 10: English Language Challenges

Hello everyone

Today I will talk about my experience learning English at university.
Well, the university has four levels for English and this is my last course (level 4).  When apply at the university everyone have an English test as they enroll or after in the first days. I started in English 2 and I remember that the classes were about vocabulary, reading and writing. And the final semester have the exam and oral presentation. (The exam don’t have oral test, have only reading, listening and writing tests).

After in English 3 I started the blogs and I considered very fun. I think that the blog is a good methodology to practice English because you must apply vocabulary and also is very important that the blog have coherence this is because not only teacher reading your blog also your classmates reading your blog and comment you! Finally I think the blog is an aid for you reading, writing and thinking in English.

The English 4 is similar to English 3 the only difference is that you have make videos and the course is more difficult respect the topics that you see in the class and writing at the blogs.

I think that I need improved much aspect respect my English because I considered me an insecure person and now for example I don’t feel ready to my oral test because I feel very nervous when I talking in English. I believe that my fails about English is I need more practice vocabulary and listening. For me, listening is the most difficult thing about English.

My plan to improve my English is watching movies in English with subtitles in English and also I would like travel to country when speaking English and do the other English courses.
Outside the English class I don’t use to much the English. I think that I use English when working the Sundays and I have Haitians customers and they don’t speak Spanish too much.

Ok, it’s all and this is my last blog. I hope you enjoyed reading me.
Bye.

Blog 4: Ghett'a Life Review

Hello Everyone Today I’m going to talk about the film “Ghett’a Life” This film I don’t like to much because I think that it was a little slow the plot and I considered the performance of the actors was basic. Maybe was not the performance and the really bad it was a production in the film. But the movie had good parts also. My favorite character was the film is Derrick Thompson. He was the main character and I liked his persistence for follow your dreams. And also I liked his mom Dawn Thompson because she always supported her son. The thing I liked the film was based in Jamaica. I didn’t know anything about Jamaica and I liked the film it was seen what is about the political of there. Also I liked as It seen the management of TV respect of the political “war”. I didn’t like effects of the film specially the music. I think that the music was terrible in some parts because used music not according for the scene. And finally, my favorite scene was Derrick fight in the...

Blog 9: Changes to my study program

Hello everyone The semester is ending and today I will write my penultimate blog. Well, today I’m going to talk about the changes that I would like to make to my study program. I think that my curriculum at the university is very hard. I would like change again the curriculum (because it was changed in 2014) as there are UTE's (the name of the subjects in my university) that are very difficult because the UTE combine many different subjects at the same time and there’re other UTEs that are unnecessary for the career ( for example Infotechnologies). Also, I would like to improve the infrastructure of the university. I think that the building of the university is very small. I would like build a new building where there would be more auditoriums, a bigger library, a dental anatomy rooms and practices rooms; I would also like to add more parking for cars and bicycles (especially bicycles). Another thing that I would like change is the “salas de paso”; these rooms so very small and ha...
